Occurrence regularity of jujube inchworm
There is one generation a year, and the mature larvae spin silk and fall to the ground and pupate over the summer and winter. The pupa is scattered in the soil of the crown projection area, about 10 cm deep, the closer to the trunk, the greater the density, and the Eclosion from March to April next year. After hatching out of the shell, the larvae can crawl and spin silk and spread to the surrounding branches with the help of the wind. With the increase of insect age, food intake increases rapidly, gnawing on jujube leaves, buds, and even jujube hanging and jujube flowers. When the jujube leaves are eaten up, the young silking is transferred by the wind. The mature larvae return to the main branch, rest in the seams of the old skin for 2 to 3 days, and then fall to the ground and pupate. The larvae are pseudo-dead and droop when they are frightened.
