The first generation of jujube bud weevil overwinters as larvae in 5 to 50 cm soil, pupates from March to April next year, and adults can be seen in jujube forest from April to June. The peak period of unearthed mating and oviposition of adults is from mid-April to early May, and it is also the peak of damage. The adults are clustered. When feeding, the young leaves and buds are eaten into a notched shape, and then eaten up, causing jujube hanging to germinate for the second time. The larvae overwintered in September.
