High quality walnut varieties in Yunnan Province

Yunnan Province is one of the national centers of origin of iron walnut. At present, there are 29 walnut varieties in Yunnan Province. The main excellent varieties belonging to the type of pickled walnut are Yunnan bubble walnut (also known as Yangzao pickled walnut, vegetable walnut), Dayao Santai walnut (also known as grass fruit walnut), fragrant walnut, big white shell walnut, round pineapple walnut, small bubble walnut, papaya walnut, Nanhuazao walnut, egg peel walnut, Midu grass fruit walnut, Lushui No. 1, etc. Niangqing Jiamian walnut, Tianchi walnut, Laoyuzui walnut, slippery walnut, Shuiqing walnut and so on belong to Niangqing walnut type, while iron walnut is an ideal seed for rootstock cultivation with poor quality.
