The common diseases of goldfish and their main prevention and treatment methods are as follows:

(1) Fish plague. Fish plague is a disease of goldfish in spring, which is often caused by goldfish physical weakness, low spirits and other symptoms caused by goldfish in winter, lack of light and other factors. To the Huangmei season, the symptoms of the disease are dyspnea, which can lead to the death of goldfish.

Prevention and control methods: at present, there is no specific drug treatment for fish plague, only to do a good job of prevention. Every year in the early spring season, goldfish should often be basked in the sun to strengthen their physique. If fish plague occurs in goldfish, it should be isolated or eliminated as soon as possible.

(2) Baiyun disease. It is a disease caused by oral worms or flagellates and oblique tube worms parasitic on fish. Its body surface is covered with a layer of white haze, which is the result of the rapid reproduction of parasites and the increase of skin secretions caused by stimulating the epithelial cells of the parasites.

Prevention and treatment: the diseased fish were bathed in 1 ∶ 50000 potassium permanganate solution for 30 minutes each time. When the water temperature is low enough to induce Baiyun disease, the diseased fish can be washed with 2% Murray 2.5% salt water for 15 minutes, then put back into clean water and repeated. Severe cases can be washed with 1% salt water for 1 hour.

(3) skin rot. This is a common disease of goldfish, mainly prevalent in summer and autumn. The affected part of the goldfish is red and swollen and the epidermis is rotten, like a red mark on the belly of the goldfish, usually caused by bacterial infection after the fish is injured.

Treatment: use a brush dipped in disinfectant (such as red mercury or high concentration potassium permanganate solution) to scrub or smear the affected area, once every other day, 3 Murray 4 times can be cured.

(4) rotten tail disease. The disease is caused by myxococcus infection and can occur all the year round. The caudal fin of diseased fish rots like a broom.

Treatment: scrubbing the affected area with 1% malachite green, once every other day, 3 Murray 4 times can be cured. It is forbidden to use malachite green when treating edible fish.

(5) White spot disease (also called small claw disease). The disease is caused by small claw worms parasitic on fish. The reproductive temperature of Lepidoptera is 3Mel 25 ℃, and the suitable breeding temperature is 14 Mel 17 ℃. When the disease occurs, white dot-like vesicles appear on the body surface and Gill filaments of diseased fish, and the infection is rapid; most of them occur in spring and autumn, and the diseased fish are very inactive and often stay on the surface of the water.

Treatment: put the diseased fish in a medical methyl blue solution of 0.5 × 10 (minus 6 power) and bathe for a long time at the water temperature of 21 Mel 26 ℃, or soak for 15 minutes with 0.5% Mel 1% baking soda for 15 minutes. As the resistance of juvenile fish to the solution is weaker than that of adult fish, the bathing time should be shortened appropriately. When the illness is serious, take a bath of 1m / w twice a day.

(6) water mildew (also known as skin mildew, white disease). The occurrence of the disease is mainly caused by damage to the fish body during feeding and fishing, or damage to the fish skin by parasites, causing water mold to invade the wound and parasitize. The disease can occur all the year round, especially in the rainy season. After the water mold invaded the wound, the initial symptoms were not obvious; when the mycelium was visible to the naked eye, the hyphae multiplied outward, and the white fluffy hyphae (white hairs) could be seen on the body surface of the diseased fish. Goldfish infected with this disease, restless, swimming disorders, slow action, loss of appetite, increased skin mucus. In severe cases, the fish are covered with white hair and die.

Prevention and control methods: fish should often be exposed to sunlight, and appropriate amount of salt should be put in for sterilization and disinfection when changing water. Avoid scratching the fish when fishing. Treat diseased fish with 1% salt water for 30 minutes at a time. During the onset season, sprinkling 1 ∶ 10000 of salt water a week in the pool can play a preventive role.

(7) vertical scale disease (that is, pine scale disease). The disease is due to the deterioration of water quality. The wound of fish is infected with a water type of Trichoderma punctatus. The scales of diseased fish open locally or all over the body, swimming slowly, sometimes abdominal edema, and in severe cases, 2Murray will die in 3 days.

Treatment: put the diseased fish in the same amount of 2% salt and 3% sodium bicarbonate mixed aqueous solution for 10 minutes, 2 times a day for 2 Mel-3 days. Or add 250 grams of mashed garlic to 50 liters of water and bathe the diseased fish several times to cure the disease.

(8) Bubble disease (also known as scorched tail disease). The disease is caused by too much dissolved gas in the water and mainly harms young fish. The fin absorbs many small bubbles of different sizes and makes the part red and eroded, affecting fish swimming and fish body balance.

Prevention and treatment: immediately transfer the diseased fish to cool water and raise them for a period of time so that they can return to normal.

(9) fish lice disease. Caused by bedbug-like fish lice visible to the naked eye invading the body and Gill of goldfish. It can happen all the year round, and it is the most popular from June to August every year. Fish lice use mouth thorns and jaws to stab and tear the fish body tissue, suck the fish blood, make the fish body thin and cluster on the surface of the water or the edges of the fish culture container, and gradually die. Due to the stimulation of venom secreted by fish lice when sucking blood by mouth, some diseased fish are extremely uneasy, swim and jump. The disease can cause the death of goldfish.

Prevention and control methods: clear the pond with quicklime before releasing fish fry to kill the adults, larvae and eggs of fish lice in the water. Water used in fish ponds or other containers should be filtered to prevent lice and their larvae from flowing into fish ponds or fish containers. After it is found that fish lice are parasitized, 2.5% trichlorfon is used to sprinkle 1 gram per cubic meter of water in the whole pool.

When using drugs to prevent and cure fish diseases, we must also correctly grasp the performance and usage of various drugs, and prescribe the right medicine according to the prescribed dose. After application, it is necessary to strengthen observation and take effective measures in time to prevent drug damage or delay treatment.
