Small melon disease of fish

The main pathogen: many small melon insects.

The suitable period for prevention and control is from March to May and from August to October.

Identification features: the disease is also called white spot disease. When there are a large number of parasites, it is visible to the naked eye that the body surface, fins and gills of diseased fish are covered with white punctate cysts. In severe infection, the tissue of the focus of the diseased fish proliferates and secretes a large amount of mucus, forming a white basement membrane covering the surface of the lesion.

Control methods: (1) every cubic meter of water was sprinkled with lime-sulfur mixture of 3g and trichlorfon 0.3 g of water in the whole pool for 5 days. (2) the diseased fish were washed with 2 mg / L methylene blue solution for 2 hours.
