Rabbit plague, also known as rabbit viral hemorrhagic disease, is an acute and severe infectious disease caused by the virus. The disease is urgent, contagious and high mortality, which is a great threat to rabbit production and is the great enemy of rabbit industry.

Epidemic characteristics: any breed of rabbit can get sick and die. It mainly occurs in young and adult rabbits over 2 months old, and the morbidity and mortality can be as high as 100%. It can happen all the year round, but it usually occurs in winter and spring, and often breaks out between spring and summer.
