Characteristics of Nanyang cattle

Nanyang cattle are produced in Nanyang area of Henan Province, among which the cattle in the suburbs of Nanyang, Nanyang County and Deng County are the most famous.

Nanyang cattle is a large service meat breed. The bull's head is strong and square, the forehead is slightly concave, the neck is short and thick and slightly arched, the neck is wrinkled, the acromion is raised, the shoulder is obliquely long, and the forequarters are well developed. In cows, the hindquarters are well developed. There are three kinds of hair colors: yellow, red and grass. Most of them are yellow. There are many kinds of horns, the bull horn base is thicker, the radish head horn is better, and the cow horn is thin and short. The adult bull weighs 647.9 kilograms. The maximum weight can be up to 1000 kilograms. Cows can weigh up to 411.9 kilograms.
