Generally, the weight gain in young age is mainly muscle, viscera and bone, while the weight gain of adult cattle is mainly fat deposition besides muscle growth. Age has a great influence on the weight gain of cattle. The general rule is that beef cattle gain the fastest weight in the first year of life, only 70% of the first year's weight gain in the second year, and only 50% in the third year. Feed utilization rate increased with age, body weight increased, showed a downward trend, generally the older the age, the more feed consumed per kilogram weight gain. In the same breed, the beef quality and the weight of the cattle are significant, but the change is not as great as the influence of age.
