Bovine urea poisoning is caused by excessive intake of urea in cattle, which can occur 30 to 60 minutes after urea intake. At first, they show restlessness, moan, muscle tremor and gait staggering, followed by spasms, dyspnea, foamy fluid from mouth and nose, rapid heartbeat, pulse up to more than 100 per minute, later sweating, dilated pupils and anal relaxation. Acute poisoning, the whole course of disease only 1 to 2 hours can be asphyxiated to death. If extended to about 1 day, incomplete hindquarters paralysis may occur.
