Characteristics of Gaoyou Duck

Gaoyou duck is a famous large sesame duck for both meat and eggs in China, which originated in Gaoyou, Dingying and Xinghua, Jiangsu Province. It has the characteristics of better fattening performance, higher feed reward and faster growth rate. Adult male ducks weigh 2 kg to 3 kg and female ducks weigh 2.6 kg. The average annual egg production is 140 to 160, of which more than 200 are high, the egg weight is 76 grams, and double yellow eggs account for about 0.3% of the total number of eggs laid.
