The breeding season of water earthworms is not as obvious as that of fish and insects. Their bodies are slender and linear, their body color is bright red or dark red, and they live in mud bottoms rich in organic matter in natural waters all the year round. Part of the body drilled into the sediment, and most of the body quivered in the water layer. When there is the slightest noise around, it can frighten it and shrink its body into the mud until the sound disappears before it reaches out of the mud and quivers again. When fishing for water earthworms, they should be mixed with mud lumps and put into buckets. When you need to take worms, cover the bucket lid tightly. after a few hours, open the bucket lid and you can see that water earthworms float on the surface of the mud. The water earthworms caught should be washed with clean water before feeding the fish. During the quality preservation period of the extracted water earthworms, the water should be changed 2 or 3 times a day. It can survive for about a week in spring, autumn and winter. During the preservation period, if it is found that the color of the insect body becomes lighter and separated from each other, the peristalsis is significantly weakened, that is, the lack of oxygen in the water, the weakening of the insect body, and the risk of death and decay soon, should be rescued by changing water immediately. In the hot summer, shallow water utensils for storing water earthworms should be washed continuously with small streams of running water under the tap in order to preserve them for a long time.
