Taxonomic status: Cyprinidae, Cyprinidae, Carassius auratus

Morphological features: the body is spindle-shaped. The head is short and the kiss is dull. Mouth end position, curved, no need. The back is dark gray-black, the abdomen is gray-white, and the fins are bluish black. There are 5-7 gray-black Reed-like markings on the side of the body. Dorsal fin iii-17; anal fin iii-6; ventral fin iMel 8; lateral linear scales 30 × 32.

Ecological habits: a wide range of food habits and miscellaneous. Generally, the 2-year-old is sexually mature and begins to reproduce when the water temperature rises to 17 ℃, and the best water temperature for reproduction is 20-22 ℃.

Geographical distribution: originated in Pengze County, Jiangxi Province, belonging to the geographical population. After selection and breeding, it was extended to the whole country. It was introduced into Ningxia in the 1990s.

Economic value: fast growth, short culture cycle, after breeding, the growth rate of individuals is more than 50% faster than that before breeding, and 249% faster than that of ordinary crucian carp. It has become the leading species in crucian carp culture in Ningxia.
