Treatment and prevention of swollen mouth disease

Symptoms: disease around the fish mouth congestion, swelling, sometimes accompanied by water mold born, oral can not move freely, feeding difficulties.

Cause: The disease often occurs during the feeding period of young sturgeon. Due to more residual bait at the bottom of the pool and untimely cleaning, young sturgeon is easy to cause mouth inflammation when feeding here. It is generally believed that the disease is caused by bacterial infection from the fact that the disease is sensitive to some antibacterial drugs. However, there is no detailed research data on pathogen screening, back infection and identification.

Harm: The disease occurs more frequently in the juvenile sturgeon stage below 20cm, which can cause death of juvenile sturgeon.

Treatment: ① disinfection of pool water, splashing enrofloxacin 1g/m3 water for 3 days;② oral treatment, feeding oxytetracycline 3g/100kg fish daily for 3 days.

Prevention: remove the residual bait in the pool in time, disinfect the feed table regularly.
