1. Building a garden with high standards. To build a garden on a hillside, we should first build a terrace with equal height, and then open a trench to apply basic fertilizer such as rice straw, pig and cow manure, phosphate fertilizer and lime, requiring that the amount of base fertilizer under the planting hole of each tree should not be less than 100 kg. Plant spacing 3 meters, row spacing 4 meters, planting green manure between rows, planting windbreak forests and gardens outside the main roads and orchards (Majiazi should be selected).

2. Expand holes to improve soil and do a good job in fertilizer and water management. The hole expansion and soil improvement is carried out every autumn, which can be applied to crop straw, livestock and poultry manure, biogas residue fertilizer, cake fertilizer and so on. The deep soil improvement of the whole garden should be completed within three years. The amount of basal fertilizer applied by expanding holes in each tree is not less than 75kg per year. The topdressing of young trees should be applied frequently with thin fertilizer, once a month from March to August, mainly available nitrogen fertilizer, properly mixed with phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. After entering the fruit period, heavy fertilizer was applied and the number of times was reduced. From April to May, gibberellin or other fruit protectants with a concentration of 50 mg / L were sprayed with 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution to protect flowers and fruits. Strong fruit fertilizer and fruit picking fertilizer were applied in July and October. In case of summer drought or autumn drought from July to October, drought prevention and drought resistance measures must be taken in time to ensure that navel orange trees survive the drought period safely.

3. All kinds of diseases and pests should be controlled in time in the growing season of navel orange trees. Such as citrus canker, scab, resin disease, navel yellow disease and other diseases, citrus red spider, rust wall lice, leaf miner, scale insects, whitefly and other pests.

4. Reasonable pruning. The pruning of young trees should mainly focus on shaping, wiping buds and controlling shoots, while fruit trees should do a good job of summer pruning and winter pruning, wipe off summer shoots in time, leave 5 leaves short for spring shoot vegetative branches in mid-and late July, and retract strong branches and deciduous fruit mother branches to promote autumn shoots. Due to the strong branching ability of navel orange, the over-dense autumn shoots can be properly cut at the beginning of winter, leaving 2-4 strong autumn shoots for each basal branch.
