Nitrite poisoning caused systemic hypoxia, resulting in respiratory center paralysis, sudden onset, characterized by dyspnea, restlessness, dog sitting posture, foaming or vomiting at the mouth, severe spasm, coma and asphyxiation.

Treatment of nitrite poisoning: green fodder is best fed fresh. Birds should also be given acupuncture and bloodletting, or intramuscular injection of methylene blue solution, toluidine blue (5 mg / kg), oral administration or injection of vitamin C (10 to 20 mg / kg), and intravenous glucose solution.
