Chickens suffering from cecal hepatitis are in low spirits, loss of appetite or abstinence, often shrink their necks, droop their wings, and do not like activities. The feathers are rough and dull, with jagged tips. The stool is yellowish or light green, and the stool is acute with blood. In the later stage of the disease, due to blood flow disorders, the head is blue-purple or black, so people call it "blackhead disease". The cloacal temperature rose above 42 degrees and dropped below 40 degrees before death.
