Pathological changes of sudden death syndrome in laying hens: the diseased hens showed follicular hemorrhage, hepatomegaly, congestion, bleeding spots, pulmonary congestion, cardiac dilatation, oviduct congestion and edema. There are often hard eggshells; glandular stomach ulcers, perforations or thinning of the glandular stomach wall, brown fluid from the glandular stomach nipples; intestinal bleeding, intestinal mucus falling off. The contents are grayish white or dark brown.
