Characteristics of Duroc Pig

Duroc pigs are native to New Jersey, USA. Because the fur is brown and red, it is commonly known as "red pig". At present, the main pig breeds introduced into China are American, Hungarian, Taiwan and other pig breeds. Now it's all over the country. The main characteristics are strong physique, strong stress resistance, fast growth rate, high feed utilization rate, high carcass lean percentage and good meat quality. At the present stage, large-scale pig farms mostly regard it as the terminal male parent of three-way hybrid pig (du grown-up) or the male parent of binary hybrid pig.
