The ejaculation volume of reserve boars is generally 150 to 200 milliliters, and that of adult boars is 200 to 300 milliliters. The color of normal semen is milky or grayish white. The greater the sperm density, the whiter the color. If the semen color is abnormal (red or yellowish green), it marks inflammation in the reproductive system of boars. It must be stopped immediately and treated in time. Normal semen is odorless or has a slightly fishy smell peculiar to boars. If there is a peculiar smell (such as sour smell), it also indicates inflammation in the reproductive system of boars. It should also be stopped and treated in time. Boar semen is generally weakly alkaline or neutral and can be determined with pH test paper.
