The method of pig-based delivery
Pig-based mating refers to the direct mating between estrus sows and boars, which is divided into single mating, repeated mating, double mating and multiple mating. Single mating refers to mating only once with a boar during a period of estrus. Repeated breeding refers to mating with the same boar at intervals of 8 to 12 hours after the first mating. Double breeding means that two boars of the same breed or different breeds are bred once at intervals of 10 to 15 minutes. Multiple mating refers to mating with the same boar for more than 3 times at 12, 24 and 36 hours after estrus, respectively. Sows have the characteristics of continuous ovulation, repeated or double matching can increase the conception rate and litter size.
