Triangular plum, strong vitality, can enjoy both flowers and leaves, and rich in flowers and colors, such as red, yellow, purple and so on, mostly red, long florescence, flowering branches, is a good potted flower. And triangular plum variety, a good grasp of the technology, will be able to open the pot.

1. Basin soil

Triangulated plum is lax on soil, resistant to barren and drought, and avoid stagnant water. It is better to use sandy soil rich in humus, loose, fertile and permeable, and avoid using clay. In addition, triangular plum is a strong positive plant, sufficient light will bloom more flowers, bright color, lack of light, branches and leaves grow luxuriantly and do not blossom or less flowering, and the flower color is dim. The growing season must be placed in a sunny place to ensure that there is light throughout the day and can only be placed indoors for a short period of time.

2. Temperature

Prunus angustifolia is a tropical plant. The optimum temperature for growth is 15-25 ℃ and the optimum temperature for flowering is 15-30 ℃. Like high temperature and high humidity climate environment, but also more resistant to dry heat, not resistant to cold, avoid frost. Grow normally in the environment of 10-32 ℃, the winter temperature should not be lower than 7 ℃, otherwise it will be frozen or even die, maintenance needs to keep warm.

3. Moisture

Spring and summer growing season, watering once a day to ensure the growth of branches and leaves. From May to June, the water was properly controlled according to different varieties, and the water was controlled repeatedly for 3-4 times. The degree of water control was to make the young shoots and leaves wilt slightly. At this time, water was sprayed on the leaves 1-2 times a day, and then watered once again after 2-3 days. Repeatedly controlling water for several times or watering every other day can promote flower bud differentiation.

When the buds appear on the new shoots, water should be watered once in the morning and once in the evening, and water should be sprayed on the leaves for 1-2 times. After October, the soil was properly watered according to the degree of dryness and wetness of the soil. After entering the house in winter, do not water too much, grasp the principle of "do not dry, do not water, water thoroughly" principle, wait for spring sprouting and long leaves, and then gradually increase the amount of water, otherwise it will lead to rotten root death.

4. Fertilization

Because of its exuberant growth and long-term flowering, triangulated plum consumes a lot of nutrients, coupled with the limitations of root growth in potted soil, so regular fertilization is very important. Apply appropriate amount of base fertilizer in early spring combined with changing pots. The period of vigorous growth began in late April and the general organic liquid fertilizer for flowers was applied every 7-10 days. When small buds can be seen in leaf axils, it is necessary to increase the application of available phosphorus and potassium foliar fertilizer. 0.5% potassium dihydrogen phosphate was applied every week during flowering.

5. Pruning

Pruning should grasp the principle of "short, heavy and sparse", that is, short horizontal branches, re-pruning new branches, thinning dense branches and weak branches. Safflower triangular plum grows weakly, pruning about once a year from March to April, and purple triangular plum needs to be fully pruned twice a year, the first before germination from March to April, and the second before the growth of new branches after flowering from November to December, in order to ensure exuberant flowering every year.
