There are many propagation methods of sweet-scented osmanthus, such as grafting, striping, cutting and so on. Grafting propagation rootstocks can use privet, lobular privet, white wax and tassel and so on. When propagating in large numbers, lobular privet is often used in the north. Before sprouting in spring, cut the rootstock from 5 cm above the ground, cut the 1-to 2-year-old sturdy branches of sweet-scented osmanthus 10 to 12 cm long, and cut both sides of the base into a 45-degree slope.
