Longevity flowers only grow leaves but do not blossom
1. Proper lighting
Reason: it is not heat-resistant during flowering, too strong light or too long time may result in luxuriant branches and leaves but sparse buds and smaller flowers. If the light time is less than 4 hours, it will also lead to poor growth due to lack of light, especially in the exuberant season to ensure adequate light.
Solution: the method of short-day illumination is adopted, that is, the light time is maintained at 4-8 hours a day, the light time in the growing period can be longer than that in the flowering period, and buds can appear about a month after short light exposure in non-flowering plants.
2. Adjust fertilization
Reason: its florescence is longer, and the florescence of some plants can be as long as 6 months, so it is a fertilizer-loving plant. If it is lack of fertility, it may cause its buds to be less difficult to blossom.
Solution: to ensure adequate fertility, nitrogen fertilizer is the main fertilizer in the growing period, and nitrogen fertilizer can also be applied once after flowering, which is beneficial to post-anthesis maintenance and growth in the coming year. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer or potassium dihydrogen phosphate aqueous solution can be applied before flowering to promote flower bud differentiation and flower bloom. However, fertilization should not be excessive, thin fertilizer should be applied frequently, and fertilizer should not be applied on the leaves as far as possible, causing the leaves to rot.
3. Pick the heart and hit the top
Reason: if the purchased plants are not plucked in time, the apical advantage may occur, resulting in long, slender branches and dysplastic lateral branches, so malnutrition makes it difficult to differentiate into buds.
Solution: the buds of the newly purchased robust plants or those planted in the growing period will be removed around the top 10cm, and new lateral buds will grow after a period of time, and the sturdy plants will bloom more easily.

Longevity flowers bloom several times a year
Longevity flowers generally bloom only once a year, but their flowering period is longer, up to 1-4 months, and their flowering time is from December of each year to April of the following year. Because it can be opened around the Spring Festival has many auspicious implications. Compound fertilizer based on phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can be applied once a week before flowering, and nitrogen fertilizer can continue to be applied after flowering.

What to do after the longevity flowers bloom and fail?
After blooming and failing, longevity flowers should be pruned, pruned branches, cuttings or dormant maintenance. Because the plant goes into dormancy after anthesis, the excess parts should be removed to reduce unnecessary nutrient loss. The pruned plants can continue to be preserved into old ones, while the healthy branches can be cut to get new ones. During the dormant period, it is necessary to properly shade, control temperature and control water.
