In what orchards, woodlands, mountains and farmland is Polygonatum odoratum suitable for planting?

1. Woodland

The main results are as follows: (1) it is suitable to select the sparse woodland with canopy density of 0.1 to 0.2, and the vegetation is broad-leaved forest or coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest, and the artificial coniferous forest is not suitable to plant Polygonatum odoratum. Requirements: slope ≤ 20 °, soil thickness ≥ 15cm, pH 5.5-7.0. the soil is humus soil or mountain brown loam.

(2) 10m wide non-tillage protection belt should be left in every 50m wide planting area. Remove rocks, shrubs and roots in the planting area, and refer to mountain operations to remove weeds. If hole planting is adopted, there is no need for large area centralized soil preparation and weeding, but small shrubs and Artemisia grass can be artificially cut in the suitable planting area.

2. Orchard

The main results are as follows: (1) the selected site is suitable for large woody orchards such as peach, apple and chestnut, but not for lianas. Because there are flat land and mountain planting in the orchard, land selection should be based on farmland and mountain standards.

(2) there is no need to plough the soil for soil preparation, and the herbicide solution is sprayed between the rows of fruit trees by the method of weeding in the mountains. When spraying, a safety cover is installed on the top of the sprayer head, so that the liquid is sprayed centrally, directional spraying is carried out, and the spray is not sprayed in windy days to prevent drift from harming the fruit trees.

3. Mountainous area

(1) to select and use barren hills, barren slopes and cultivated slopes, we should choose gentle slopes with a slope of ≤ 20 °(the south slope is not allowed to be selected in the slope direction to prevent the gentle sunny east). The soil is moist and loose, yellow sandy soil or brown loam rich in humus, the thickness of soil layer is ≥ 15cm, and the best pH value is 5.5-7.0.

(2) the soil preparation first removed the stones, shrubs and roots from the soil, and when the weed 30~40cm was high from June to July, the water 75kg was sprayed with 10% glyphosate water agent 2000-3000mL per mu, and should be sprayed within 4 hours after application.

4. Farmland

The main results are as follows: (1) the sandy loam with good leeward drainage, loose soil quality and deep soil layer should be selected. Do not choose clayey, barren, low-lying land easy to stagnant water and continuous cropping land, if continuous cropping should be planted at an interval of more than 4 years.

(2) spread 2 500~3000kg of mature organic fertilizer and calcium superphosphate 25kg per mu of land, ploughing about 30cm, leveling and raking fine, to make a ridge with wide 65~70cm, or a border with 113m wide and high 15cm, and the working path is wide 30~40cm, to be planted.
