The phosphate fertilizer used in drip irrigation system must be water soluble. The traditional phosphate fertilizer, such as calcium superphosphate, is mainly composed of water-soluble calcium dihydrogen phosphate, but there are other insoluble impurities, so it is not suitable for drip irrigation system. Monoammonium phosphate, diammonium phosphate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate and phosphoric acid are all completely soluble and are good sources of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. But pure potassium dihydrogen phosphate is very expensive and is not acceptable to ordinary farmers. Although phosphoric acid has high phosphorus content and good solubility, it has strong corrosiveness, low safety, accidents in the process of operation and high management requirements, so it has not been widely used in our country. Industrial-grade monoammonium phosphate and diammonium phosphate have good water solubility and few impurities, so they can be used for fertilization in drip irrigation system.
