Last Updated: 2024/11/06, In view of the fact that the quality of fertilizers and pesticides are intermingled on the agricultural materials market, and incidents of harming farmers occur from time to time, in order to improve the ability of the broad masses of farmers to identify fake and shoddy agricultural materials and ensure the smooth progress of spring ploughing production, a few days ago, the city's agricultural department uses to carry out the publicity campaign of "rest assured that agricultural materials enter the village and enter the household".

In view of the fact that the quality of fertilizers and pesticides in the agricultural materials market is mixed, and incidents of harming farmers often occur, in order to improve the ability of farmers to identify fake and inferior agricultural materials and ensure the smooth progress of spring farming production, the municipal agricultural department recently launched a publicity campaign of "reassuring agricultural materials into villages and households" to publicize the knowledge of identifying fake and inferior fertilizers and pesticides to farmers through the distribution of materials and consultations. Identification of pesticides by label and packaging appearance It is understood that pesticide labels include "three certificates", namely pesticide registration certificate, production license or production approval document, product implementation standard number, as well as product name, effective ingredient, content, toxicity, use, weight, use method, production date, validity period, precautions and enterprise name, address, zip code, etc. Agricultural experts believe that the lack of any of the above pesticide product quality is questionable, consumers should not easily buy. At the same time, the packaging and measurement should be checked. The regular internal and external packaging of pesticides is very complete. Therefore, farmers should not buy damaged packaging and bulk pesticide products. Identify pesticide quality by substance form Pesticides of powder and wettable powder shall be loose powder, without lumps, uneven color, lumps or pesticides with large particle sensation shall not be purchased; emulsifiable concentrate shall be homogeneous liquid, without precipitation or suspended matter, such as stratification, turbidity and precipitation, etc., it indicates that there is quality problem of products; suspension agent and suspension emulsion shall be flowable suspension without lumps, and there may be a small amount of stratification phenomenon after long-term storage, and it shall be able to recover to its original state after shaking, otherwise, it indicates quality problem; Fumigation tablets such as powder, indicating that it has failed; aqueous solution should be homogeneous liquid, no precipitation or suspension; granules should be uniform in thickness, should not contain more powder. Five ways to identify fertilizer quality One is look. First of all, look at the fertilizer packaging. Fertilizer produced by regular manufacturers, its outer packaging specifications, solid, generally marked with trademarks, product names, nutrient content (grade), net weight, factory name, address, etc. Second, it depends on the size of the fertilizer. For example, nitrogen and potassium fertilizers are mostly crystalline; phosphorus fertilizers are mostly lumpy or powdery amorphous; high-quality compound fertilizers have uniform particle size and specific gravity, smooth surface, and are not easy to absorb moisture and caking. Third, look at the color of fertilizer. Different fertilizers have their own unique colors, nitrogen fertilizer except lime nitrogen is mostly white; potassium fertilizer white or slightly red; phosphorus fertilizer is mostly dark gray, farmers can make a rough distinction based on this. In addition to looking, fertilizer identification can also be used to touch, smell, burn, wet and other methods. "Touch" is to put the fertilizer in the palm of your hand, hold it hard or press it to rotate, and judge the fertilizer according to the feel. If there is a "wet oil" feeling, it is genuine. "Smell" is simply judged by the special smell of fertilizer, such as ammonium bicarbonate has a strong ammonia odor; ammonium sulfate is slightly sour; calcium superphosphate has sour taste. "Burning" is the heating or burning of fertilizer samples to identify fertilizers from flame color, melting conditions, smoke, residue conditions, etc. Such as ammonium bicarbonate, direct decomposition, a lot of white smoke, strong ammonia smell, no residue, and fake fertilizer smell is not obvious; compound fertilizer combustion will release strong ammonia smell, and a lot of residue. "Wet" is to sprinkle fertilizer particles on wet ground or wet with a small amount of water, after a period of time, according to the dissolution of fertilizer to judge. Such as potassium sulfate, potassium chloride, etc. can be completely dissolved; calcium superphosphate, heavy superphosphate, etc. partially dissolved; compound fertilizer particles will disperse, dissolve or have a little residue, while fake fertilizer solubility is poor or not dissolved at all.
