August is the season of frequent typhoon and torrential rain, which has a great impact on fruit production. Litchi, a large number of fruits in the south, has basically been harvested, and longan is being put on the market in large quantities one after another. Most bananas are budding and fruiting, plus banana pseudostems (that is, dried bananas) have soft texture and poor wind resistance, so they are extremely vulnerable. Typhoons and torrential rains often cause longan, bananas (including plantains, plantains, etc.) and other fruits to fall, trees uprooted, trees broken, branches broken, waterlogging and diseases and insect pests prevalent. Therefore, it is necessary to do a good job in the management of fruit trees in time after wind and rain. to minimize the loss of fruit.

1. Rush to harvest fruits that have been blown off

After the wind and rain, we should urgently do a good job in the rush harvest of longan, banana, yellow olive and other fruits, and organize sufficient manpower and material resources to rush to harvest and send them to the market in time. At the same time, prepare processing equipment such as ovens to pick up the blown fruit after the typhoon to minimize the direct losses caused by the typhoon.

2. Deal with woody fruit after wind

After the typhoon, the woody fruit should be dealt with in time. If the fallen trees are annual seedlings, they can take advantage of the wet to straighten the seedlings and cultivate the soil to step on them. Other young trees can be properly raised, so as not to hurt the big roots, while big trees and fruit trees should not be upright, and should be cultivated on the spot to let the trees grow obliquely. Blown trees should be pruned and sprayed with insecticides and fungicides to prevent the spread of diseases and pests.

3. Treatment of banana trees damaged by wind.

The blown but unbroken banana tree is righted in time, compacted with soil, and protected by banana stakes, so that it can quickly restore its growth. Blow-off banana hanging fruit trees, there are fruits to harvest the time to harvest, and then cut off the long banana stem, leaving about 1 meter of banana stump to let nutrition return to cultivate banana buds. If the banana tree that has not drawn all the buds is blown off, it will be cut off from the break and let it draw leaves and buds again.

4. Drainage and waterlogging prevention

After wind and rain, banana fields often soak their roots with stagnant water, resulting in banana waterlogging, which usually begins to occur after more than two days of flooding. The longer the flooding time, the more serious the banana waterlogging damage. The symptoms of waterlogging appeared gradually 15 days after flooding, and the damage of banana trees at budding stage was more obvious. Therefore, it is necessary to open the drainage ditch in time after the wind and rain, and do a good job in the drainage of banana fields, so as to prevent stagnant water from injuring roots and killing trees.

5. Spraying to prevent the epidemic of diseases and insect pests

Typhoons and torrential rains are opportunities for aphids to move among banana trees, often because aphids absorb the juice of diseased bananas and then suck healthy banana trees, spreading various diseases. At the same time, Rain Water flow is also the vector of bacterial transmission. After the wind and rain stops, banana trees should be fully sprayed with insecticides and fungicides to prevent aphids and other pests and germs from drifting with wind and rain. The insecticides can be sprayed with Sta, Rui Chong, Biqiao Ling, Chong Jing, Chong Jing, Chong No pardon, Trichlorfon, Shengshuang, etc., and fungicides can choose Dianlituo, Fuxing, popular, Baofus, Feifu, Jiusheng, Baosheng, Tuoshangtuo, Pushute and so on. On the ground, it is appropriate to choose fungicides such as Tuoshang, Tuobujin, carbendazim and other fungicides to sprinkle the banana head with water to prevent the banana root from rotting by infecting bacteria.

6. Promote the restoration of tree potential.

After the typhoon, quick-acting chemical fertilizers, such as compound fertilizer and potassium chloride, were applied to promote the recovery of banana root system and tree potential. When spraying insecticides and fungicides, add foliar fertilizer to supplement nutrition. Foliar fertilizer can choose biological chicken soup, Limanglong, rare earth amino acids, activating element, Yandu micro-fertilizer, nucleotide phosphorus potassium and so on.
