Old people love to drink tea, but now many young white-collar workers have begun to choose tea. In the tea category, the best-selling tea at present should belong to the latest concept of organic tea.

So, what is organic tea? Organic tea is a kind of tea which is produced and processed according to the method of organic agriculture. In its production process, it does not use any synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, plant growth regulators, chemical food additives and other substances, and meets the standards of the International Federation of Organic Agricultural movements (LFOAM). Certificates are issued by organic (natural) food certification organizations.

Organic tea is a kind of pollution-free and pure natural tea. Organic tea is also the first organic food in China to be licensed for export. In recent years, more than 20 tea production units in China have obtained organic tea certification, established organic tea base of nearly 6000 mu, and the annual output of organic tea has reached more than 500t (mainly green tea, some black tea, oolong tea, etc.).

What's the difference between green food and organic food:

Green food can use pesticides, fertilizers and hormones. However, there are certain restrictions on the amount and time of use. at the same time, green food can be produced by genetically modified technology.

Organic food is currently the highest safety level of food certification in the world, the use of any pesticides, fertilizers, hormones and other artificial addition is strictly prohibited, and the use of genetically modified technology is absolutely prohibited.

Therefore, some crops are not even qualified to apply for organic certification. Only products produced in the most natural way can apply for organic food certification.

Therefore, good organic tea is inseparable from the correct planting method, and only the correct planting method of organic tea, it is possible for you to get its accompanying health effect, and drink organic tea, but also can put an end to the "agricultural residue" problem.

The cultivation techniques of organic tea, such as fertilizer cultivation, diseases and insect pests and weeds, are different from the general farming methods.

Liang Jinyi, who has won the top ten outstanding young farmers in Taoyuan County, said that in terms of fertilization, organic tea only uses compost, soybean meal or planting green manure (such as Lubing, green pea beans, sesbania, etc.) to improve the quality of organic tea.

In the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, the main varieties planted are Taicha 12 (Jinxuan), Taicha 13 (Cuiyu), Wuyi and so on. Insect pests are controlled by non-pesticide methods, such as biological control (control by feeding and release of lacewings), sex pheromone, artificial capture, physical control, pruning control, thurium control and so on. In addition, there are still many beneficial insects in nature, such as ladybugs, mantis, aphid-eating gadflies, insectivorous Toona sinensis and so on, which can make the biological ecology reach the balance point and keep the harm of diseases and insect pests below the economic level.

In the prevention and control of weeds, organic tea gardens control weeds by planting ryegrass, Lu Bing, Bahia grass or covering peanut shell, oyster shell, sugarcane skin, expanding natural shading of tree crown, artificial weeding and middle tillage weeding.

These agricultural laws are different from the current agricultural laws. Engaging in the production of organic tea through the above methods is actually a return to the mode of operation in which our ancestors did not use pesticides and organic fertilizers. Europe, the United States, Japan and other countries have made systematic development in the research of this kind of agricultural planting technology.
