Early listing to increase benefits Tomato ripening precautions
tomato
Vegetable grower is in order to make tomato appear on the market ahead of time, raise benefit, often use the method that hasten ripening on production, but want to master good method and precautions, should do the following.
1. Tomatoes cultivated early in spring or in the open field
When the fruit was rubbed with 300-400 times of 40% ethephon solution during the color change period, the fruit could be put on the market 5-8 days earlier.
Second, autumn delayed cultivation tomato
When the temperature in the later stage drops to 8 DEG C, the white ripe fruits are harvested, stored in a room with the temperature not lower than 10 DEG C, sprayed with 1000 mg/kg ethephon aqueous solution 5-6 days before being marketed, and then covered tightly with plastic film. When the fruits are marketed, the fruits are colored, beautiful in color and good in flavor.
III. Ripening in cultivation
After determining the number of fruits left, spraying the plants with 5000 mg/kg of long-term aqueous solution has the effect of promoting the ripening of tomato fruits.
IV. Precautions
First, ripening should not be premature. Generally, the ripening effect is best when the fruit is fully grown. If the fruit is not fully grown, it is easy to produce uneven colored stiff fruit in a hurry to ripen. If ethephon is used to ripen, it is only effective in the white ripening period of the fruit. After the fruit before the white ripening period is treated with ethephon, it not only does not change color, but also tastes numb and astringent, and cannot be eaten.
Second, the concentration of the drug should not be too high. Tomato ripening mostly uses 40% ethephon, every 50 ml ethephon mixed with 4 kg of water, mixed evenly before use. If the concentration is too high, it will produce obvious phytotoxicity.
Third, master the temperature well. The suitable temperature range for ethephon ripening is 10-32℃. In this range, with the increase of temperature, the ripening effect is accelerated. The ripening effect is the best at about 25℃. After soaking with 2000 mg/kg ethephon when white ripe fruit, it can turn color in 5-7 days at 25℃.
Fourth, the number of ripening tomato fruits per plant should not be too much. The ripening fruit per plant is generally 1-2 at a time, because there are too many ripening fruits per plant at one time, and it is easy to produce phytotoxicity when the plant receives too much dosage.
Fifth, the liquid medicine should not be contaminated on the leaves. If the liquid is contaminated on the leaves, the leaves will turn yellow and wither. Sixth, master the specific operation method of ripening, should dip in the liquid medicine with a small sponge, smear the surface of the fruit, can also wear cotton gloves dip in the liquid medicine, smear the surface of the fruit, so the effect is good.
