Seven steps to ensure the edible value of radish
White radish
The heart of radish bran is a common physiological disease of fleshy root, which can not only reduce the weight, starch and sugar content, but also soften the tissue, lighten the flavor, reduce the edible value, and can not be stored. The prevention and control of radish chaff should mainly focus on the following points:
The first is to choose improved varieties. Choose small radish varieties with fine meat that are not easy to chafe.
The second is to sow seeds at the right time. Sowing seeds at the right time, do not rush early, as the folk saying goes, "two-volt radish". In recent years, many people have blindly changed it to "radish head-volting vegetable", which has advanced the sowing date by more than a week, which is also the main reason why there are so many radish chaff in various places.
The third is reasonable close planting. The general row spacing of large varieties is 50 cm 60 cm, plant spacing 20 cm 30 cm, medium variety 40 cm 50 cm, plant spacing 15 cm 20 cm, small varieties 8 cm, 10 cm.
Fourth, scientific fertilization. Fertilizer use should be based on the principle of base fertilizer and supplemented by topdressing, pay attention to the rational collocation of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, and apply fertilizer scientifically. Varieties with sufficient base fertilizer and short growth period can be less topdressing: large varieties have a long growth period, topdressing can be applied less frequently, in seedling stage, leaf growth stage and fleshy root expansion stage, urea 10kg / mu, calcium superphosphate 3kg / mu, potassium sulfate 15kg / mu can be used.
Fifth, rational watering. Control the moisture of the soil and prevent it from getting too dry and wet. The method of "watering thoroughly in a dry day and watering evenly in a cloudy day" is adopted to keep the soil moisture at 70% to 80%. There is a large amount of water in the middle and later stage of growth, so it should be fully supplied, but the amount of water should not be too much to prevent the shoot from growing too much. The folk practice is: "if the land is not dry or irrigated, it will be watered immediately when it turns white."
Sixth, spray anti-bran. Radish entered the "belly breaking period", foliar spraying 5% white sugar, borax and the right amount of naphthylacetic acid mixture, can effectively prevent bran heart. Generally, 50 mg / kg gibberellin solution was sprayed half a month before harvest, and 10 mg / kg naphthylacetic acid solution was sprayed twice in the later growth stage, each time at an interval of 10 to 15 days, which not only did not affect the growth of fleshy root, but also prevented bran heart and delayed ripening. If 10 mg / kg naphthylacetic acid is sprayed, 5% sucrose and 5 mg / kg borax solution are added, and the three are sprayed together to prevent the bran heart from getting better.
Seventh, scientific storage. The suitable storage temperature of radish is 0 ~ 2 ℃ and the air humidity is 95%.
