Orchard trimming

In recent years, fruit prices have been rising, fruit farmers are becoming more and more enthusiastic about developing fruit trees, and the area of newly planted apple orchards is constantly expanding. in order to make this part of the orchard take shape early and bear fruit early, management this winter and next spring is the key to success or failure. Once it becomes a "small old tree", it is difficult to rejuvenate again after topdressing and strengthening management.

1. Top dressing. Fertilizer is the most critical factor. Fertilizers should be applied mainly with organic fertilizers, supplemented by chemical fertilizers. 20kg of organic manure such as cow manure, pig manure, chicken manure and 0.5 kg of compound fertilizer should be applied to each tree. Each tree digs 4 pits of 25 cm × 25 cm × 30 cm in length, width and depth, and pay attention to mixing fertile soil evenly.

two。 The whole set. The planting line is 1 meter away from the trunk and hit the tree plate, so that the root system has enough room for growth and is conducive to watering.

3. Water it. After the whole set of fertilization is finished, immediately irrigate a permeable water, so that the fertilizer can play a role as soon as possible.

4. Paint it white. Tree trunk whitening is an effective measure to prevent insect pests and draining. The formula is 5 kg of water + 1 kg of quicklime + 0.15 kg of salt, coated on the trunk.

5. Press the grass. Grass mulching can not only resist drought and water conservation, but also increase soil organic matter, which plays an irreplaceable role in expanding the crown of strong trees, and crop straw (corn, wheat straw, peanut vine, etc.) is cheap and rich in all kinds of fallen leaves and weeds. It can be pressed in the tree plate along the planting line, with a thickness of 5 cm to 10 cm. It is best to use semi-rotten or rotten straw and weeds that are not suitable for fire.

6. Trim. Before sprouting, all the main branches are extremely heavy and the central stem is left short at the full bud, and the central trunk of the apple tree should be straightened with poles and ropes. Early trimmed wounds should be protected by healing agent.
