Three methods of increasing Fruit setting rate of Sweet Pepper in greenhouse in early Spring
Sweet pepper
The planting period of sweet pepper in greenhouse in early spring is generally in February and March, and the cold weather of overcast snow is often encountered during the flowering and fruiting period, which leads to poor flower bud differentiation, serious flower and fruit drop, and serious impact on yield and income. Next, introduce three ways to improve the fruit setting rate of sweet pepper in the greenhouse.
First, improve the lighting conditions and increase the temperature. In case of overcast, snowy and low temperature weather, supplementary lights can be added in the shed. At the same time, a reflective screen is hung on the back wall to increase the light in the shed. Clean the greenhouse film and improve the light transmittance of the greenhouse film. Strengthen the management of pruning and forking, remove too many branches and leaves, especially the inner chamber branches and leaves, improve the light rate of leaves and buds, reduce nutrient consumption, and thus increase the fruit setting rate.
Second, reduce the humidity in the greenhouse and pollinate insects. Sweet pepper in the flowering and pollination period is more stringent humidity requirements, encountered low temperature and continuous cloudy days, the humidity in the greenhouse is too large, easy to lead to sweet pepper pollen dysplasia, reduced activity, can not normally complete pollination. Around noon, according to the weather conditions, it can be released to cool and dehumidify and reduce the humidity in the shed as much as possible. In addition, releasing bumblebees in the greenhouse can significantly increase the fruit setting rate of sweet pepper.
Third, spray micro-fertilizer and plant regulators. Boron is one of the essential elements for flower bud differentiation of sweet pepper plants, but boron often leads to flower bud dysplasia. Spraying boron-containing liquid fertilizer before flowering can supplement nutrition for plants, improve inhibition resistance and reduce flower and fruit drop. Spraying 30Mel 40 mg / kg naphthylacetic acid can also play a good role in flower and fruit protection.
