Analysis on the causes of adventitious Root phenomenon of Tomato
Tomatoes
Recently, many vegetable farmers have reported that there are a large number of adventitious roots on tomato stems, and they have never seen a similar situation before. The growth of the plant is very weak, and some flowers have already appeared on the top. what on earth is going on? The various situations are analyzed as follows.
First, cause analysis
Tomato plants themselves can produce adventitious roots, but it is not normal for vegetable farmers to reflect too many adventitious roots. In general, when the plant root system is stunted, vascular bundle disease occurs and the plant growth is inhibited, the plant needs more roots to absorb nutrients in order to self-regulate, which will produce a large number of adventitious roots. Therefore, tomato plants produce a large number of adventitious roots, which is not a disease of leaves, but a systematic harm.
II. Specific reasons and prevention
The main results are as follows: 1. Root system underdevelopment or soil-borne diseases such as root rot.
The main reason for too many adventitious roots is that Rain Water entered the shed or the open-air tomato was harmed by Rain Water. After Rain Water enters the shed, can cause retting root or harmful substances to cause damage to the root system, especially the main root, can pull out the plant for detailed inspection.
Infection with soil-borne diseases, such as root rot and Verticillium wilt, can cause root rot and cause a large number of adventitious roots in tomato plants.
Control methods: timely discharge of Rain Water, pay attention to the maintenance of the root system, can be applied chitin, alginic acid and other rooting fertilizer; for soil-borne diseases can choose the formula: oxidized methyl water agent + oleic acid copper + chitin for root irrigation.
2. Infection of bacterial diseases
In particular, bacterial pith necrosis and bacterial wilt lead to the destruction of the vascular bundle system of the plant and the production of a large number of adventitious roots on the stem.
Prevention and control methods: the key lies in prevention, bacterial agents can be selected, such as bacteriocin, Kesha, chlorobromoisocyanuric acid and so on, and root irrigation can be done at the same time, Zhongshengmycin + copper oleate + chitin.
3. Rooting
The main reason is that the base fertilizer is not scientific, without ripening or unreasonable pesticide application, which leads to root burning and a large number of adventitious roots of the stem.
Control method: apply EM biological fertilizer or chitin to eliminate damage and promote growth.
4. Overuse of inhibitors
Some vegetable farmers control plant growth, always have to foliar spray some growth control agents, such as paclobutrazol, B9, Aidoushou and other drugs, if the dosage is too heavy, plant growth is inhibited too seriously, it will also lead to tomato stalks produce a large number of adventitious roots.
Prevention and treatment: lifting the head to promote growth, chitin + cytokinin foliar spray can be selected, the effect is remarkable.
