Cucumber cultivation

Sufficient base fertilizer must be applied to cultivate cucumbers in overwintering crops. Base fertilizer should be composted with rotten straw or livestock and poultry manure. General mu application of organic fertilizer 30005000kg, calcium superphosphate 100kg or 3050kg diammonium phosphate or biological fertilizer 4050kg or cake fertilizer 200kg. When the base fertilizer is more, it should be sprinkled, and when the base fertilizer is less, it can be sprinkled with 2 to 3 and 1 to 3 furrows. After sprinkling the ground, turn it deeply twice, then open the ditch according to the row spacing, apply the remaining fertilizer into the ditch, mix it well with the soil, and then pour heavy water in the ditch to make enough soil moisture. The cultivation of cucumber in overwintering stubble generally adopts large and small ridges, small row spacing of 80 cm, large row spacing of 100 cm, and 3300 plants per mu.

I. colonization

1. Sunny days should be selected for planting. The seedlings are graded according to large, medium and small, and transported to the planting ridge. from the point of view of the whole greenhouse, the big seedlings should be placed at both ends of the east and west and in front of the greenhouse, and the small seedlings should be placed in the middle of the greenhouse. From a line point of view, big seedlings in front, small seedlings in the back, generally living in the middle, so it is beneficial to grow neatly later.

Because the light in the greenhouse is strong before and after weak, it is necessary to grasp the density before and after planting seedlings, so that the seedlings in different parts can get basically similar light. When planting, you can open holes according to the plant spacing and plant seedlings in the holes, or open a deep trench on the planting ridges and place the seedlings in the ditches according to the prescribed plant spacing and fix them slightly. Water in a hole or ditch and seal the pit (ditch) after infiltration. Pay attention to the seedlings do not plant deep, after sealing the soil, the seedling tuo and ridge surface can be the same, be careful not to bury the grafting interface into the soil.

2. Mulching plastic film in the past, people used to cover plastic film before planting cucumbers, or immediately after planting. In fact, this is not conducive to the root system of grafted seedlings, reducing the ability of cold resistance and low temperature tolerance of grafted seedlings. Because the ground temperature is still high at the time of planting, but not covered with plastic film, the root system should be deeply rooted as far as possible on the basis of repeated hoing, and the plastic film should be covered about 15 days after planting.

Second, hanging vines

In order to promote the development and maintain the exuberant vitality of root system, the method of not topping and letting cucumber grow naturally was adopted when cucumber was cultivated in overwintering season. The overwintering cucumber generally grows to 40-50 knots, and the height of the greenhouse is limited, so the melon vine will fall down for a period of time.

In order to facilitate the fall of the vine, nylon thread, cloth hanging, or nylon net bracket are generally used, which can greatly reduce the shade of the frame material. When hanging nylon wire or nylon net, try to make it not directly connected with the greenhouse arch, preferably independent support. The nylon thread used for hanging should set aside more parts in the upper part so that it can be used when the vine falls.

The operation should be light when hanging the vine, do not sink too much at one time, and do not damage the blade. The leaves should be evenly distributed in space and do not block each other. At the same time, the lower diseased yellow leaves, lateral branches, tendrils, male flowers, deformed cucumbers and diseased melons should be removed. Picking leaves is not a necessary measure. Leaves that grow well and are well preserved should not be knocked out easily. Generally, no more than 2-3 leaves should be beaten at a time. Try to keep about 20 functional leaves per plant.
