1. The diurnal variation of duck feeding.

Under natural light, ducks have three best feeding parts in a day and night, in the morning, noon and evening. Accordingly, the following should be done in feeding and management:

⑴ strengthens morning feeding. Ducks have a strong appetite at dawn, when feeding and feeding can make laying ducks lay more eggs, and meat ducks gain fat and gain weight quickly.

⑵ grazes regularly. Grazing should be carried out during the best part of the duck feeding in the morning, middle and evening, and rest or drive the ducks into the water at other times, combining work and rest. If drinking water, administration or mixing and feeding are needed, it is best to arrange it during the peak feeding time of ducks.

Second, the diurnal variation of duck laying.

It is reported that laying ducks are mainly concentrated between midnight and before dawn, and do not usually lay eggs during the day. In order to improve the laying rate, we should do the following:

⑴ turns off the lights and stops the lighting on time at 10:00 in the evening to ensure that the laying ducks lay eggs in a quiet environment at 1-4 p.m. The next day.

If ⑵ finds that duck laying eggs are generally later than 5 o'clock and the egg head is small, it means that the concentrate in the diet is insufficient, so it is necessary to increase the concentrate according to the standard in time.

⑶ if ducks lay eggs during the day, it is mostly due to a single feed, lack of nutrition, early grazing in the morning or high temperature and humidity in the duck shed. The feeding and management conditions of ducks should be improved and the grazing time of ducks every morning should be postponed temporarily (8 o'clock).

Third, the diurnal variation of duck mating.

It is reported that breeding ducks usually choose to mate in the morning or evening in the broad surface of the water. Therefore, it is necessary to make full use of the mating peak of breeder ducks in the morning or evening to drive them to deeper waters to improve the fertilization rate of breeder ducks.

Fourth, the diurnal variation of unitary disease.

Youshi's disease is named because ducks get sick at 17: 00 (17-19:00) every afternoon. During the outbreak of the disease, the ducks were violently agitated and quickly piled up, resulting in some weak ducks being trampled to death, with a mortality rate of about 20%. The disease is caused by transportation stress, so all kinds of stress of ducks before and after long-distance transportation should be reduced as far as possible. Anti-stress drugs were added to the diet 1-2 hours before the first hour of transportation of ducks within a few days after transportation in order to stop the occurrence of Youshi disease in time.

Fifth, the diurnal variation of immune response

It is reported that the sensitivity of poultry to immune preparations (vaccines, vaccines, etc.) changes periodically during the day, the sensitivity is poor in the daytime, and the immune response is slow; when it is close to the early morning at night, the epinephrine secretion is the most, and the immune response is the most sensitive. So the immunization of poultry (including ducks, geese and chickens) works well in the wee hours of the morning. There are two advantages:

⑴ poultry are inactive at night, which is easy to catch and has little stress response.

⑵ can produce immunity faster and better when poultry are vaccinated in the early hours of every morning.
