Nutritional anemia in piglets is a disorder of hematopoietic system caused by deficiency or deficiency of certain nutrients, especially vitamins and minerals in feed, which mostly occurs in piglets with poor feeding and management after weaning.

Its performance is as follows: depressed spirit, unwilling to move, loss of appetite, malnutrition, physical weakness, dishevelled fur, dysentery, thin feces, pale mucous membrane of eyes, nose and oral cavity, gray-white auricle, increased respiration and pulse, but the body temperature is not high. Hand touch skin cold, severe cases can cause death.

The disease often occurs under the combined action of many reasons, such as malnutrition or long-term lack of succulent feed, protein, vitamins and minerals in pregnant sows, which can quickly lead to anemia in piglets; after birth, piglets grow and develop rapidly, hematopoiesis is exuberant, iron demand is large, and iron content in pig milk is limited. Small and thin piglets in the same litter often do not have enough milk to cause anemia; most of the cottages are cement or wood, and the piglets start eating late, and the piglets take less iron from the outside world; due to poor feeding and management of piglets and environmental effects, piglets have diarrhea and dysfunction, affecting the absorption of trace elements and nutrients Piglets after weaning are fed with rougher feed immediately or single feed for a long time, under the conditions of long-term unreasonable house feeding, lack of exercise, lack of sunlight or too short time to see the sun, it is easy to cause nutritional anemia in piglets.

The main measures for prevention and control are as follows: strengthen feeding and management, give sows feed containing appropriate proteins, minerals and vitamins, exercise properly and often come into contact with sunlight, spread some clean iron-containing red clay in pig houses, and let piglets lick; drop a mixture of 0.25% ferric sulfate and copper sulfate on the sow's nipple and let the piglets suck it with milk. Ensure the iron content of 80 mg / kg in the feed of piglets after weaning to meet their growth needs; vitamin colloidal calcium 1-2 ml, intramuscular injection, once a day for 3 days; intramuscular injection of Shengling blood 1-ml, or 0.1% sodium nitrite 0.5 ml, once a day for 5 days Liver essence injection 0.2ml, 5% glucose solution 1ml, mixed intramuscular injection, once a day for 5 days.
