Key points of meat duck feeding management in spring

Spring breeding ducklings, fewer diseases, easy to survive, grow fast, good management, is the best brood season of the year. The following six links must be mastered in breeding:

1. Avoid hot and cold. Spring climate is changeable, brood period should pay great attention to heat preservation, avoid to give temperature fluctuation high fluctuation low. The suitable temperature for brooding ducklings is 30℃ for 1-3 days old, 25℃ for 4-7 days old, and can be raised at normal temperature after 3 weeks old.

Second, drink water first and then eat. 24 hours after ducklings out of shell, water should be given first before eating, and appropriate vitamin C and glucose should be added to the first water to help clean up the stomach and promote meconium elimination. Supply nutrition: ducklings after drinking water that is, there is the performance of eating, at the beginning of the first half-cooked rice; sprinkle on a clean cloth, let it peck freely, feed seven or eight times a day, feed 6-8 times a day. After 1 week old, feed 4-6 times a day; after 3 weeks old, feed 3-5 times a day. At the same time, some fish, shrimp, earthworm, loach, etc. can be added appropriately. When feeding, such meat and fish can be chopped and mixed into feed, or it can be boiled into soup paste and mixed into feed.

Third, master the appropriate density. Feeding density is related to indoor air hygiene and healthy growth of duck flock, so it is necessary to group them in time and prevent piling. Especially in early spring weather and late night, pay attention to observe ducklings dynamic, timely catch pile. The suitable density of ducklings is 25-30 per square meter at 1 week old, 15-20 at 2 weeks old and 5-7 at 3 weeks old. For duck farms (households) with large breeding capacity, they can be divided into several small groups according to size, strength and age, each group should be 200-300, and then adjusted once a week.

4. Reasonable supplement of light. Generally, the whole day should be illuminated within 3 days of age, and then reduced by 2-3 hours per week. After 4 weeks of age, it can be raised with natural light.

Water grazing, ecological farming

5. Training for water grazing. For ducklings raised flat on the ground, they should be trained from the fifth day of age. Start 1-5 days, you can lay a nylon film outdoors, pour water in the middle of the surrounding pad, the water depth is about 2 cm (the water temperature should not be too low), and then put the duck in. Start 1-2 times a day, about 5 minutes each time, increase to 3-4 times a week later, 5-10 minutes each time, and gradually extend the time later. Every time the water comes up, let the ducklings comb their feathers in a windless, warm place, and then rush back to the house after the feathers are dry. After 5 days, they can freely enter the water and then exercise grazing near the duck house. Start 20-30 minutes, then slowly extend, but not more than 2 hours, grazing times to every morning, afternoon once appropriate.

VI. Pay attention to hygiene and epidemic prevention. ducklings can be vaccinated against duck plague and avian abortion vaccine after 1 week of age, injected with duck plague virus hepatitis serum once at 10-20 days of age, and immunized with duck plague vaccine once at 60 days of age.
