Sheep plague, sheep black plague, sheep enterotoxemia and sheep gangrene are all acute infectious diseases caused by Clostridium putrefaciens, characterized by sudden onset and death of sheep, gastric hemorrhage and necrosis.

Prevention In areas where the disease often occurs, regular annual injection of sheep rapid epidemic, rapid sniping, enterotoxemia triple vaccine or sheep rapid epidemic, rapid sniping, enterotoxemia, lamb dysentery and black epidemic pentavaccine, regardless of size sheep, are subcutaneous or intramuscular injection of 5 ml. For contaminated pens, sites and appliances, disinfect them with 3% caustic soda solution or 20% bleaching powder solution. Emergency vaccination of the same flock of sick sheep and oral administration of 2% copper sulfate, 100 ml per sheep.

Treatment due to the short duration of this disease, often too late to treat. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the usual epidemic prevention measures, and symptomatic treatment can be given to the cases with long course of disease, such as cardiotonic agents, intestinal disinfectants, antibiotics and other drugs.
