To irrigate mature grapevines, growers should pay attention to the six periods of sprouting, pre-flowering, late flowering, berry expansion and grape harvest. Of course, we should also pay attention to increase or decrease the number of irrigation according to the amount of precipitation in that year.

Grape

1. Sprouting period: the grape should be watered during the period from unearthed to sprouting and branching. In areas where there is less rain and drought in spring, it is necessary to irrigate again because it is necessary to meet the water needs of sprouting and branching of grapes.

2. Pre-flowering and late anthesis: permeable water was irrigated every 10 days before and after flowering. Pre-flowering irrigation combined with the application of flower-promoting fertilizer, the grape root quickly absorbed the fertilizer dissolved in water, which played a significant role in promoting the rapid growth of inflorescence, ovary and pollen, and improving the pollination effect and fruit setting rate of grape.

3. Berry period: when the grape berries grow to the size of soybean grains, the new shoots also grow vigorously. At this time, due to the rising temperature, the water evaporation of grape leaves is increasing, which is in urgent need of nutrients and water. Therefore, irrigation in late June should be combined with fruit-promoting fertilizer. When Rain Water is young in summer, he should be irrigated every 7 to 8 days to meet the needs of new shoots and berry growth.

4. Berry expansion period: during the berry expansion period, irrigation of water before berry ripening combined with fertilization can effectively supplement the water needed in the later stage of grape growth and promote ear ripening.

5. In the later stage of harvest, water should be irrigated for 2 or 3 times after harvest to prevent cold, in order to improve soil moisture, promote the growth and development of grape roots, moisturize branches and prevent draining. In arid areas, after overwintering, frozen water must be hung for 2-3 days, and then bury the soil to prevent cold after the surface of the vineyard is dry, so as to prevent the soil moisture in the garden from being too high, resulting in bud rot.

It should be noted that grapes are generally not watered during flowering and berry ripening. In case of heavy rain, stagnant water in the garden should be removed in time, because irrigation at this time may reduce the quality of flowers and fruits.
