Many people will think that radish is easy to grow, but in fact, radish also has its own requirements for planting conditions, what are the basic requirements for that kind of planting radish? The editor of Green Food Network will give you a summary:

Radish

1. Choose a good place

The sandy loam soil with deep soil layer, rich in organic matter, good drainage, loose and permeable air is the most suitable for growing radish. If the radish is planted on the soil with sticky weight, hardening and poor drainage, the fleshy root of the radish will be bent, bifurcated or even deformed.

2. Apply good fertilizer

Radish fields should apply sufficient base fertilizer, generally 6000kg to 7000kg per mu of fully mature organic fertilizer, 10kg of diammonium phosphate and 5kg of potassium sulfate per mu; topdressing, usually combined with watering 5 kg of urea per mu at the seedling stage of radish; topdressing 8kg of urea per mu in the rosette stage; and 5kg of urea, 10kg of diammonium phosphate and 10kg of potassium sulfate per mu during the period of rapid expansion of fleshy roots. If the temperature is too high, too much nitrogen fertilizer and insufficient phosphorus and potassium fertilizer in radish field, the bitter taste of radish will be more serious. Reasonable fertilization should be applied in the process of radish planting, and appropriate phosphorus and potassium fertilizer and organic fertilizer should be applied to avoid partial application of nitrogen fertilizer. For boron-deficient fields, boron should be sprayed on the leaves, about 150 grams of borax per mu to 50 kilograms of water, spray on the leaves of radish in the evening, once every 2 weeks, 2 times in a row.

3. Pour good water

Generally, the soil should be kept moist during the germination period. If the soil is found to be dry after sowing, it should be watered in time, and small water should be watered again when the radish emergence is more than 75%. The main work of radish growers in the seedling stage is to strengthen mid-ploughing, pay attention to watering the radish during high temperature and drought, and pay attention to drainage and waterlogging prevention on rainy days. In the peak period of radish leaf growth, proper watering should be carried out to control moisture, and at the same time, soil cultivation and squatting seedlings should be carried out. Watering should be uniform in the peak period of fleshy root growth to prevent root cracking, and stop watering 5-7 days before harvest. It should be noted that turnips should be irrigated with flowing clean water or well water, not sewage or stagnant water in ponds.

Meet the three most basic conditions for growing radish, and your road to growing radish will be half successful.
