After the beginning of spring, rape enters a vigorous period of growth, which requires a large amount of nutrient supply, so if it can be fertilized scientifically according to the soil quality, climate and pre-spring rape fertilization, combined with seedling conditions, it can greatly provide rape yield.

Oilseed rape

1. Apply spring fertilizer early. Topdressing in early spring can remedy the deficiency of rape growth caused by winter, promote multi-branching and bud early. Especially for rape which is lack of base fertilizer and has not tried wax fertilizer, the key to its high yield is to apply topdressing in early spring. Generally use 5-8 kg of urea or 10-15 kg of ammonium bicarbonate per mu.

2. Apply manure skillfully. Fertilization in the bud stage of rape should be treated separately according to the appearance of rape. Early heavy application for fields with weak seedlings and poor growth, that is, 15-20 piculs of human feces and urine per mu, plus 5 kg of urea or 45% compound fertilizer of 10-15 kg, and for fields with prosperous growth and thick green leaves, the application of manure fertilizer should be postponed or less.

3. Boron is sprayed on the leaf. Rape needs a lot of boron, and boron deficiency often leads to unfruitful rape flowers. The application of boron fertilizer has a good effect on increasing yield. When boron is applied to rape after spring, it is usually sprayed once at the early flowering stage, with 50-100 grams of borax per mu, first dissolved in hot water, and then sprayed on 50-60 kilograms of clear water; the second boron spraying can be combined with the prevention and control of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. It can increase the yield of rape.

4. Increase the application of potash fertilizer. In order to improve the lodging resistance, disease resistance and waterlogging resistance of rape, appropriate amount of potassium fertilizer can be applied, especially for potassium-deficient soil such as paddy field and sandy field. From late February to mid-March, about 150 kg of plant ash was sprinkled or 15 kg of potassium chloride was applied.
