The grass has comprehensive nutrition and high crude protein content, beating the grass into grass pulp to cultivate fish fry, the utilization rate of nutrients is high, and the inexhaustible straw pulp decomposes, fertilizes water, promotes the growth of plankton, and provides rich natural bait for fish fry. Therefore, the fish fry cultivated with straw pulp grow fast and have a high survival rate. The main technical points are as follows.

First, beating

Use a high-speed beater to beat water hyacinth, water lotus, water peanuts and some terrestrial grasses (which must be tender grass) into straw pulp. Before beating, all kinds of grass should be rinsed with clean water and soaked in bleach solution for disinfection. When beating, the feeding should be a small number of times, the ratio of grass to water should be well grasped, and the straw pulp should be beaten as finely as possible, so as to increase the suspension time of straw pulp particles in water and improve the utilization rate. After beating, mix with salt according to 0.3%-0.5% of the grass weight (to play the role of disinfection), rest for 3 or 4 hours, and then sprinkle in the whole pool.

Second, throw in and feed

1. Quantity. Generally, 50kg ~ 75kg of pulp is poured on each mu of water every day. The amount of feed increases or decreases as appropriate with the growth, weather and water quality of the fish. Three days before the fry is released, about 130 kg per mu of pulp is used as base fertilizer to ensure that there is fertilizer and water when the fry goes into the pond. In ponds mixed with non-herbivorous fish, some concentrate should be added to the grass pulp.

Spilled too early, less dissolved oxygen, poor activity, eat less; spilled too late, fish fry can not be eaten, straw pulp decomposed in water, easy to destroy the water quality. If the fish fry is abnormal or the weather is muggy, when it is going to rain, it must be spilled less or not.

III. Management

After feeding straw pulp, fresh water should be injected into the pond in time and by stages, so as to increase the water level, increase the activity space of fish fry, improve water quality and increase the amount of dissolved oxygen; properly sprinkling raw lime water can not only play the role of disinfection, but also neutralize the acidic substances decomposed by straw pulp. so that the pH of the water quality tends to be moderate, thus promoting the reproduction of beneficial plankton and the growth of fish fry.
