Layer breeding

In recent years, many chicken farmers generally report that laying hens can not reach the egg laying peak, or the egg laying peak can be maintained for a short time. After analysis, there may be the following reasons:

1. Infectious disease factors

The recessive infection of some diseases, such as the 150-day-old hidden Newcastle disease caused by improper prenatal Newcastle disease immunization, or not paying attention to disinfection, there is colibacillosis; with the existence of mild avian influenza, chicks have suffered from infectious bronchitis, this low pathogenic avian influenza and transmission often cause serious damage to the reproductive system.

two。 Occurrence of salpingitis and ovary inflammation

As the breeding environment of laying hens in China is poor and the disinfection is not strict, laying hens should regularly reduce the inflammation of fallopian tubes every 30 days, otherwise potential bacteria and viruses will invade ovaries and fallopian tubes and cause oviduct or ovitis sign.

3. Drug poisoning

In the course of disease prevention or treatment, use drugs that are taboo to laying hens, such as sulfonamides and containing sulfonamide synergists, aminophylline, or chlortetracycline, which have effects on calcium synthesis, as well as irreversible damage to the reproductive system caused by certain antiviral drugs.

4. Nutritional factors

Nutritious full-price feed is the first condition to ensure the laying rate. The nutrition of the feed is low and can not meet the requirement of high yield. Or the laying hens failed to supplement enough calcium and protein after laying, or the change stress caused by frequent change of feed, as well as the decline of nutrition level caused by high-quality feed to inferior feed, and so on.

5. Stress of environment, feeding and management factors

Bad climate, such as continuous high or low temperature, muggy, excessive humidity, it is difficult for laying hens to adapt; poor ventilation, high ammonia concentration in the house, stress caused by long-term stimulation of respiratory mucosa; light can stimulate the secretion of gonadal hormones, the effect on egg laying performance is very obvious. During the laying period, the light is generally 16 hours, and the illumination is 10 lux ~ 20 lux.
