Raising pigs

In spring, the growth of pigs is slow, and the resistance is reduced. The key to raising pigs in spring is to improve the resistance of pigs. The specific technologies are as follows:

First, raise the temperature of the pig house

1. If it is an open pig house, it must be covered with plastic film, preferably double-layer plastic film. This method is suitable for fat pig houses and non-lactating sows.

2. If it is a sealed pig workshop, boiler heating can be carried out.

3. If heating is provided by heating, an electric heater can be added. This method is suitable for lactating sows.

Second, improve the energy level of feed.

Adjust the feeding method, feed dry material, drink clean warm water. If the wet material is fed, the material must be mixed with clean warm water to maintain a certain material temperature and clean the feed trough after each meal. To prevent feed mildew, pay attention to adding mildew remover.

Third, enhance the ventilation of pig houses.

Due to the cold weather, the piggery is in a relatively airtight state for a long time, and the air can not be replaced in time, which is easy to cause toxic and harmful gases such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide to seriously exceed the standard, so it is necessary to open the air window regularly to remove toxic and harmful gases.

Fourth, do a good job in cleaning and disinfection.

1. Pig houses should be disinfected frequently, and disinfectants can be used with iodine, chlorine and other efficient disinfectants, or 20% quicklime milk or 2% caustic soda hot water can be used for sprinkling disinfection (disinfection of livestock with caustic soda is not allowed).

2. The enclosure should be disinfected with conventional disinfectants once a week, which can be adjusted according to the situation of animal epidemic.

3. The feeding trough utensils are washed and disinfected every 3 days.

4. Disinfection pools or mats should be set up at the entrances and exits of gates and animal passageways to disinfect carpets and be replaced regularly.

5. Strict disinfection measures must be taken for outsiders and vehicles.

5. Do a good job in the prevention and control of epidemic diseases

Pig breeding must do a good job of immunization to prevent the occurrence of epidemic disease. Focus on the prevention of wind-cold, gastroenteritis, classical swine fever, highly pathogenic pig blue ear disease, foot-and-mouth disease and other epidemic diseases.
