2. The deep excavation of the pond should be in accordance with local conditions and scientific planning. The shape of the pond should be rectangular as far as possible, with a long east-west direction, an area of about 6670 square meters (10 mu) per mouth, a depth of 2.5 to 3 meters, and a water storage depth of 2 to 2.5 meters.

3, the water intake and drainage should be unimpeded, the drainage should be convenient and thorough, and there is an intake ditch into the fish pond, which can flow into the fish pond naturally or mechanically lift irrigation and add new water. it is best to set up a drainage pipe at the bottom of the pond to facilitate thorough self-drainage. Generally, the inlet and outlet is located opposite to the fish pond. The inflow and drainage between fish ponds should be independent, and there is no "passing pond", which is conducive to the regulation of water level and water quality and healthy culture.

4. It is best to use mechanical construction to conserve water and protect fish to excavate the fish pond. The slope of the dam ridge is 22.5, and the earth dam is 0.8 meters high and compacted once to prevent water leakage. The inlet and outlet is equipped with an anti-escape grid to avoid escaping fish and wild miscellaneous fish.

5. The high-yield fish pond should be connected with three-phase high voltage in order to facilitate the use of aerator, water pump and bait feeding machine. The width of the fishpond dam is at least 2cm and 3 meters, and the transport vehicles can directly reach the pond side.

6. Economic and beautiful construction of fish ponds should be due to terrain planning and reduce the amount of earthwork excavated. For example, the design of large-scale fish ponds should also be arranged neatly vertically and horizontally, and the layout of intake and drainage system, power supply lines and traffic roads should be reasonable. This is not only beautiful, but also can reduce the corresponding overall construction investment and provide convenient conditions for production. In addition, it is best to provide fish ponds with recommended places for raising fish or livestock and poultry, including the ridge of the dam.
