It is important to improve the yield and quality of green onions and to cultivate soil and fertilize reasonably.
Reasonable soil cultivation and fertilization in the planting process of scallion can improve the taste and quality of scallion, enhance the value of scallion, prevent the occurrence of diseases, and are important measures to improve the yield and quality of scallion. How to cultivate soil and fertilize onions?
green onions
Note 1: Cultivation time. Cultivate the onion when it grows to 30 cm, not too early, otherwise it will cause the onion to bend and grow slowly; Cultivate the soil in the afternoon, because the leaves are soft and easy to cause damage to the leaves of the onion.
Note 2: Reasonable topdressing. Scallion in the growth process generally to cultivate soil 3 times. The first time is "small culture", the soil thickness is about 5 cm, after the scallion grows to 30 cm, the balance type such as 150 jin soybean meal organic fertilizer and 25 jin 15- 15-15 compound fertilizer can be applied to promote the deep root system and meet the nutritional needs of the early growth of scallion. The second time of soil cultivation is carried out when the scallion grows to 40 to 45 cm, and the soil thickness is about 10 cm. This topdressing is mainly nitrogen and potassium fertilizer. 15-5-20 high nitrogen and high potassium type can be selected together with 250 jin soybean meal organic fertilizer to promote the growth of pseudostem and leaf of scallion. About 20 days before harvesting scallion, carry out third soil cultivation. In order to improve the quality and taste of scallion white, the soil cultivation thickness is about 10cm, and 50 jin of calcium nitrate can be applied. Nitrogen fertilizer does not need to be supplemented this time. Otherwise, scallion white is easy to soften and taste bad.
Note 3: Soil cultivation method. Take soil from the middle of the row, and the width of the soil should not be too wide, not more than one third of the row spacing, so as not to hurt the roots; the soil should be patted to prevent it from being washed away by rain or falling when watering; the soil should not be cultivated when the soil is too dry and wet; the pseudostem of scallion should be kept straight, and the soil should not be too deep, and the deepest burial should be to the leaf sheath, otherwise it is easy to cause the scallion white part to bend.
Note 4: Cultivate soil should pay attention to season and frequency. Cultivate soil should not be in high temperature season and the number of times can not be more. The pseudostem of scallion is buried too deep in soil and easy to rot in high temperature season. Frequent cultivation not only increases the workload of vegetable farmers, but also inevitably damages the roots and leaves of scallion, affecting the accumulation of nutrients required for growth of scallion. Cultivate soil should not be too deep, or bury onion functional leaves, leaves are easy to rot. The thickness of each time is 3~4 cm, and the soil is cultivated to the boundary between the leaf sheath and the leaf body of the scallion, that is, only the leaf sheath is buried, and the leaves are not buried.
