Livestock and poultry breeding

Cold winter and early spring, low temperature, less light, lack of green feed, poor nutrition, livestock and poultry are prone to a variety of diseases. How to make livestock and poultry less sick in the low temperature season, so as to ensure safe overwintering and healthy growth, the following measures are mainly taken:

First, raise carefully to enhance the ability of cold resistance and disease prevention.

Livestock and poultry in the low-temperature season, the body of heat and nutrition consumption increases, feeding should be paid attention to. It is necessary to add some formula feed with high energy and comprehensive nutrition, such as corn, grain and wheat, so as to make livestock and poultry fat and strong and enhance disease resistance. Drinking water should drink clean warm water or well water to ensure that livestock and poultry have enough to eat and drink well. Cattle and sheep should graze on the windward and sunny grassy slopes, and grazing should come out late and return early. Measures to protect against cold and warmth should be put in place to prevent other diseases caused by colds in livestock and poultry. The livestock and poultry enclosure should be inspected and repaired regularly to ensure that the roof does not leak rain and snow, there is no wind tunnel on the four walls, the ground is covered with hay, and the doors, windows and curtains are hung.

II. Standardize immunization and make timely diagnosis and treatment

For all livestock and poultry kept in captivity, epidemic prevention should first be universal. For major animal infectious diseases such as bird flu, foot-and-mouth disease, blue-ear disease of pigs, and febrile disease of pigs, immunization must be done in strict accordance with the immunization procedure, especially for large-scale farmers, and if necessary, immune surveillance should be done well, according to the titer of antibody, determine the time of immunization. On the premise of ensuring the quality of the vaccine, the vaccine should be preserved at 2-8 ℃ (biological products should be kept at low temperature). In addition, the standard operation of vaccine dose and injection site are all measures to ensure the quality of immunity. While doing a good job of immunization injection, it is necessary to do a good job of immunization registration, establish a good account, and wear a good logo. If you find that livestock and poultry are sick, you should immediately contact the local veterinarian for timely diagnosis and treatment, so as to reduce the morbidity and mortality to a minimum, so as to reduce the loss and ensure the benefit of breeding.

Third, strictly disinfect and maintain environmental hygiene

The enclosure should be cleaned frequently, the bedding grass should be replaced, and the sewage and feces should be removed in time. The cleared mat grass and feces should be stored at a fixed point, or accumulated in the septic tank and disinfected by biological heat fermentation, so as to maintain a clean, fresh, dry and comfortable enclosure environment. The routine disinfection of the enclosure should be carried out regularly, and the feeding trough utensils should be washed and disinfected every 7 days. Professional households (farms) should set up disinfection pools or mattresses to disinfect carpets at the entrances and exits of gates and passageways for people and animals. Disinfectant and disinfectant carpets should be changed frequently to ensure freshness and effectiveness. Usually, if there are outsiders, vehicles in and out, strict disinfection measures must be taken. Chlorine-containing disinfectants can be selected for disinfection, such as spraying 5% bleach solution on animal pens, cage racks, feeding tanks and vehicles. Alkaline preparations, such as sodium hydroxide, can also be used to heat into 1%-2% aqueous solution, which can be used for disinfection of chicken house floors, walls, sports grounds and dirt contaminated by viruses, and can also be used for disinfection of articles such as transport vehicles. Rinse with clean water after spraying for 12 hours.

IV. Scientific supplement of hurdles and full-in and all-out breeding

Farmers should purchase livestock and poultry from healthy livestock and poultry farms. Livestock and poultry should be raised and observed in separate columns after purchase, and can be raised in groups only after confirming their health. When introducing livestock and poultry, we should adopt the method of all in and all out. After each batch of livestock and poultry breeding is finished, the enclosure should be thoroughly disinfected, and then a new batch of livestock and poultry breeding should be introduced.
