Farm pig farming

With the development of rural economy, the source of feed is becoming more and more abundant. In the past, the pig raising method of "mainly green and coarse feed, properly matched with concentrate" has been basically changed. At present, pig raising in rural areas is developing in the direction of scientific breeding.

1. Raw and cooked feed

In rural areas, many pig farmers have the habit of feeding cooked food, thinking that cooked feeding can reduce feed volume, soften crude fiber, increase feed volume and improve digestibility. According to the experiment, the effect of raw feeding and cooked feeding is different according to the type of feed. Coarse feed is better than raw feed, showing higher digestibility of dry matter and carbohydrates. Concentrate feed, legume seed cooked feed is better than raw feed, such as rapeseed cake, cottonseed cake after cooking can play the role of detoxification or disinfection. Other concentrates are better fed raw than cooked, and the nutrients of the concentrate are generally lost by 5% to 10% after cooking. Green feed is also better than cooked feeding, which can not only prevent the loss and destruction of vitamins and other nutrients, but also save labor and fuel and reduce feeding costs.

two。 Thick feeding and thin feeding

Due to high water content and dilute soup, the secretion of digestive juice was reduced, gastrointestinal emptying was accelerated, the residence time of feed in intestinal tract was shortened, and the digestibility of feed nutrients was reduced. Thick feeding, especially raw dry feeding and raw wet feeding, can strengthen the masticatory function of pigs, promote the secretion of digestive juice, prolong the stay time of feed in the gastrointestinal tract, and improve the digestibility of nutrients. Therefore, it is recommended that the effect of thick feeding, dry feed mixed with water or dry feed mixed with green feed pulp water is better than dilute feeding, and the degree of dryness and wetness should be squeezed together and dispersed.

3. Small meals and multiple meals

It must be determined according to the type, age, season and feed nature of pigs, rather than generalizing it. Suckling piglets with small stomach volume and weak digestion are mainly induced to eat from 7 days old, but no limit to meals; from 20 days old to weaning, they are fed 5 times 6 times a day; newly weaned piglets can be fed 4 times a day; sows with piglets and sows in late pregnancy can be fed 3 times a day; shelf pigs, big pigs, empty sows, boars 3 times a day. If the weather is hot in summer, the days are long and the nights are short, you can feed them one or two more times as appropriate; if it is cold in winter, if the days are short and the nights are long, you should be fed early in the morning and late in the evening, so as to prolong the feeding interval properly.

4. Timing and quantification

Pigs should never be fed late today and early tomorrow, and there should be a fixed feeding time every day. Make pigs develop the habit of secreting digestive juice regularly; if the feeding time is not fixed, it will disturb the life law of pigs, cause digestive disorders, lead to gastrointestinal diseases, and affect growth and development. In addition, scientific pig raising, avoid a hungry meal, full meal, should determine the basic daily feeding, otherwise it will also cause indigestion, weight gain and slow down. However, the feed intake of the same group or even the same pig varies slightly due to different climatic conditions, feed palatability, feeding techniques and so on. After the pig breeders have mastered the pig's food intake, they should also flexibly control the feeding amount according to the pig's nutrition, feed and appetite. Generally speaking, the appetite of pigs is the most prosperous in the evening, the second in the morning, and the worst at noon. The amount of feed in a day should be distributed roughly according to this law, so that pigs can always maintain a strong appetite.

5. Fixed quality and fixed temperature

Quality determination means that pig feed is best prepared according to the nutritional needs of different types and different stages of growth and development. If the family is self-made, the energy and protein level of the mixture should be determined according to the feeding standard, and the variety and proportion of each ingredient should not change too much. Constant temperature refers to the feed water temperature for pigs, which can be fed at room temperature in spring, summer and autumn, and hot water should be used to prepare feed in winter. Frozen feed can cause miscarriage and gastroenteritis in pregnant sows. Healthy pigs have the habit of rushing food when eating, and do not feed overheated hot food, otherwise it is easy to burn oral mucosa or even esophagus, long-term feeding hot food will also cause depilation and growth hindrance.
