Fish culture in cage has the advantages of large stocking density, small space, high prevalence rate and fast contagion. The usual method of throwing medicine directly in the cage will often make the fish disease cured for a long time. The reason is that the exchange of water body in the cage is fast, the efficacy time is short, and the range of drug power is small (after application, most of the drugs are dissolved in the surface layer of the water, the bottom concentration is very low or even zero, and the fish will go to the bottom of the cage due to drug reaction), and the number of fish cultured in the cage is more and more. The impact on the water quality of the large water surface is intensified, and the pathogens are increasing, which leads to serious cross-infection. Taking appropriate methods can not only effectively cure and eliminate fish diseases, but also save costs.

In order to facilitate the use of medicine, when the cage is set up, install a net rope at the midpoint of the four corners and four bottom edges respectively and fasten the other end to the cage bracket. In addition, make a cloth bag that is slightly larger than half the size of the cage.

1. Preventive use of drugs

The prevention is mainly based on traditional Chinese medicine, hanging bags and feeding bait, supplemented by other drugs, sprinkling and feeding bait. Due to the influence of drugs, feed, water quality and density, hepatobiliary syndrome is relatively common in recent years, and it is relatively safe to choose traditional Chinese medicine, such as Euphorbia angustifolia, Fructus mandshurica, Acorus calamus, pine needles, neem leaves, castor leaves and so on. It can be used alone or at the same time.

Hanging bag: each cage selects four points, each point one deep and one shallow two hanging bags, so that the whole cage body can reach a certain drug concentration.

Sprinkle: lift the net rope preset at the four corners and four bottom edges of the cage, so that all the fish are on the surface of the water with a depth of more than 1 meter, and increase the concentration to 10 ~ 20 times to sprinkle for more than half an hour.

2. Medication for treatment

Fish species: the activity intensity of the fish species is relatively small, drive the fish species to a corner of the cage, put on a cloth bag, take immersion treatment, the drug concentration is 10 ~ 20 times of the normal dose, do not sprinkle at one time, should be sprinkled slowly, the medication time is determined according to the reaction of the fish to the drug, generally stop when the sick fish have toxic reaction.

Adult fish: large fish activity intensity is larger, it is not suitable to gather too dense, fish can be driven to the range of 1x3 or 1pump2 (depending on the number of fish), the water depth of less than 1 meter, separate with bamboo bars, and then put on a cloth bag (of course, cloth bags in the whole cage is also possible, but the workload is relatively larger), after the relaxation of fish swimming, the concentration is increased to 10 ~ 20 times, and the medicine time is the same as the method of fish species.

Feed bait: feed by hand, sprinkle more of each handful and spread a larger area, so that the fish with weak feeding ability can eat more as much as possible.

3. Course of treatment

The biggest difference between the use of drugs in cages and ponds is that the action time of drugs is short, so external drugs should be used at least twice a day, and the number of days of medication should be determined according to the type of drugs and the severity of the disease, bacterial diseases should be used for at least two days, parasitic diseases for at least one day, and sterilization on the second day and the third day.
