Family pig raising

Domestic or intensive pig feeding with self-made pig feed can greatly reduce the feeding cost and improve the economic benefit of pig breeding. However, self-made pig feed must grasp the following key points.

1. Master the feeding standard of pigs. Pigs with different production purposes and pigs at different growth stages have different requirements for nutrients, so different feeding standards should be selected to prepare diets according to the production purpose, age and body weight of pigs.

2. Reasonable selection of raw materials. When selecting feed raw materials, we must pay attention to the following points: first, pay attention to the type and amount of raw materials. The variety of raw materials should be diversified in order to give full play to the nutritional complementarity of all kinds of raw materials. The proportion of commonly used pig feed is grain such as corn, rice, barley, wheat, sorghum, etc., accounting for 50%, 70%, 10%, 20%, 15%, 20%, 15%, 20% and 10%, respectively. toxic cakes and meals such as cottonseed cake, meal and rapeseed cake are less than 10%, and breeding pigs should not use cottonseed cake and meal. Animal protein feed, such as fish meal and silkworm pupa meal, accounts for 3%, 7%, grass meal and leaf powder less than 5%, shell powder or stone powder 3%, 35%, bone meal 2%, 25%, and salt less than 0.5%. The second is to pay attention to the characteristics of feed raw materials. In order to grasp the relevant characteristics of raw materials, such as palatability, the content of toxic and harmful components in feed, as well as feed pollution, mildew or not, the amount of raw materials with poor palatability and toxins should be limited. seriously polluted and moldy raw materials should not be selected. Third, attach importance to the principle of economy, should be in line with local conditions, the principle of local materials, make full use of local raw material resources. Fourth, pay attention to the volume of raw materials. In order to ensure that the pig can eat the nutrients needed every day, the volume of the selected raw materials must be compatible with the volume of the digestive tract of the pig. If the volume is too large, the pig can not eat up the amount of feed needed in a day, resulting in nutrients that can not meet the needs. At the same time, it will also increase the burden of the digestive tract; if the volume is too small, although the nutrients are satisfied, the pig does not feel full and restless, thus affecting the growth and development.

3. Processing and modulation should be reasonable. In addition to powdered raw materials such as wheat bran, rice bran, fish meal and bone meal, raw materials such as corn, beans and rice should be properly crushed. Raw soybeans cannot be fed directly to pigs and must be fried or cooked before use.

4. The raw materials should be evenly mixed. All kinds of raw materials must be mixed evenly in order to ensure that pigs eat all kinds of nutrients. Especially when premixed feed is added, if the mixed feed is not evenly mixed, it is easy to cause pig drug or trace element poisoning.
